Privacy Policy

Emergency Station (iPad) and Emergency Remote (iPhone and Android). Last updated 12 September 2026.

The short version

The apps have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no cloud service. Everything you enter stays on your own devices and your own site network. The developer never receives your data.

What the apps store, and where

• Staff registration — a name, a usual room and a role, entered by the staff member. Stored on that phone and on the site's Emergency Station iPad so the office knows who an alert came from. Removed when the office removes the phone or the app is deleted.
• Location — with your permission, the phone's GPS position is attached to an alarm you raise and to updates you send during an alarm, so responders can find you. It is sent only to your site's station and to the other registered phones on that site, over the local network. Location is not collected at any other time and is not sent to the developer or any third party.
• Event history — the station keeps a log of alarms, updates and All Clears (who, when, what) on the iPad for the site's records. The office can export or delete it.
• Announcements and voice recordings — typed announcements and voice clips recorded by admins are stored on the station iPad and on the phone that made them, and are played over the site PA.
• Push notification token — on iPhone, Apple issues the app a device token so the station can send a critical alert when the phone is away from the site Wi-Fi. The token is stored on the station iPad only. Notifications are delivered through Apple's push service; the content is the alert type, who raised it and where.

What we do not do

• No accounts, sign-ins or passwords.
• No servers operated by the developer. The station iPad is the only server, on your own network.
• No analytics, tracking, crash reporting or advertising SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of data with anyone.

Permissions the apps ask for

• Local network / Bonjour — to find the station on the site Wi-Fi.
• Notifications and Critical Alerts (iPhone) / Do Not Disturb access (Android) — so an emergency can sound on a silenced phone.
• Location (while using) — to attach your position to alarms and updates you send.
• Microphone — only when an admin records a voice announcement.
• Camera — never. QR registration uses the phone's own camera app.

Children

The apps are for school and workplace staff. They are not directed at children and collect no information from students.
